Year 8 have currently been using their best persuasive language techniques to impress the likes of The Dragons, Sir Alan Sugar, and most importantly, their English teachers. Pupils worked in groups to create a product that the world is missing. For inspiration on what to invent and what not to invent, we looked as a class at the following website... Why not take a look... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dragonsden
I think you will agree that pupils have worked extremely hard on this unit of work and Miss Richardson and Mr Carroll would like to congratulate pupils on their maturity and hard work. Pupils proved that they can work well as a group and this provides good experience for both school life and the outside world of work.
Pupils used their peer assessment skills to inform their peers on how they can improve their product and told them what was good about their product. Pupils have also looked at magazine advertisements as well as TV advertisements to create adverts for their products. Some pupils even went that extra mile and ACTUALLY created the product and a flashy power point presentation to go with it!!!!! WOW!!!!
Look at the pitches and advertisements below. Would you invest in any of our pupils' products?
Miss Richardson.
